About the role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic Automotive Parts Clerk to join our dynamic team and facilitate the seamless operation of a growing business. Key responsibilities include daily interaction with customers, suppliers and technicians, leveraging industry databases to accommodate both pre and aftersales queries.
Job duties:
· Unload, verify, and sort incoming shipments of new and used automotive parts/supplies, inspecting items for damage and ensuring accuracy of orders prior to distribution for internal usage;
· Identify, label and securely store parts in an organised and accessible manner, upholding warehouse order and cleanliness whilst assisting with display of merchandise;
· Maintain accurate record of purchase orders including type, quantity and location of parts in stock, utilizing in-house software to track inventory levels and initiate bulk or one-off purchases to replenish stock;
· Sell replacement, spare or upgraded OEM/CAPA aftermarket components for all major automotive brands (US, European and Asian markets), assisting retail customers in selecting most cost-effective solutions by effectively communicating product features, sharing technical knowledge and detailing applicable warranty information;
· Utilize Parts Panel Operating System and external vendor platforms to identify correct parts, process transactions and sell appropriate solutions direct to consumers and autobody repair shops;
· Respond to inbound customer calls concerning availability, price and condition of parts in an efficient and professional manner, delivering exceptional customer satisfaction to efficiently fulfil orders and promote customer retention;
· Address customer queries in both a retail setting and over the phone, troubleshooting vehicle compatibility issues or consulting manufacturer specifications to facilitate sales;
· Prepare and track work orders across all sales platforms, preparing domestic/international deliveries whilst arranging in-store collections with local customers.
Skills requirements:
· Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
or equivalent experience
· Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years within automotive industry
· Language of work: English
· Computer and technology knowledge: Inventory control software, MS Office and Internet
